Yes, welcome to hell. America 2026. Our only hope, still, is a Dem wave this fall. Not for partisan purposes, but to save what is left of our laws, our Constitution, our shared humanity.

Sad, poignant description of a rich nation which won’t share its wealth with the needy because of the myth of scarcity, as you say, and the myth that the poor don’t deserve it, blaming the victims (low wage workers or the unemployed) for their circumstances.
